Public sector
The public sector has, and is, facing some of its biggest operational, organisational and technology challenges. Many of these centre around providing improved services to customers and citizens, delivering e-government capabilities by the Government's 2005 deadline, and achieving new levels of accountability.
LB Icon has established ongoing strategic partnerships with multiple public sector organisations –including national government departments and local authorities – to help them deliver on their challenges. These organisations rely on our consulting, development and management experience and expertise to make projects happen, to specification, on time and within budget.
From example, at the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) we have worked on over 50 different projects, helping the department to raise education standards through its online activities. We provide a range of services including business analysis, project management, information architecture, content migration and implementation.
At Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, our services included helping the council to select the appropriate technology to allow departmental staff to create and manage their own Web content, and thereby provide better information and services to citizens in the borough – well ahead of the e-government deadline.
Not-for-profit
Charitable, or not-for-profit, organisations often work on limited budgets in terms of their operational and IT infrastructures. AT LB Icon, we have experience of helping organisations, such as Cancer Research UK, to maximise their budgets while still attaining their operational goals.
Whatever the size and scope of the project, we can scale our services accordingly to meet organisational, operational and budgetary demands. And because we believe in establishing partnerships with our clients, you will find us to be creative, proactive and easy to work with.
“We looked at eight different companies and concluded that LB Icon was the most technically competent, and could also communicate complex concepts to a non-technical audience. Also, LB Icon's track record indicated that it could deliver within tight timescales. We had a lot of confidence in their abilities.”
